Ever wondered why Russian Volume was Called Russian Volume? Volume lashes began in St. Petersburg, Russia, in 2011 by a lash stylist named Olga Debronravova, who started been applying lashes in twos and then threes to create an even fuller look by adding lighter multiple lashes in the fan shape without weighing down the natural eyelash.
Russian Volume lashes / volume lashes then spread across the globe as people desired fuller lashes.
Now lash technichians can create 2D, 3D, 4D, 5D, 6D (2D is 2 lashes per natural lashes, 3D is 3 lashes per natural lash) and so on to create amazingly bespoke and tailored lashes to suit individual lash types. Classic eyelash extensions add length and are very beautiful whereas Russian volume adds length and volume. Volume lashes can also be used with classic lashes to create whats called Hybrid Lashes.
Some may think that more volume means more weight and adhesive, but this is a misconception. This technique requires only a small fraction of that which was used with previous extension techniques.
At Art in Beauty I make all my fans by hand and use a variety of thicknesses depending on the amount of lashes used. By creating fans by hand rather than pre-made fans the lashes that are applied to the natural lash can wrap around to make a bond so that retention will be made stronger. By wrapping, the weight is distributed causing less stress on the natural lash.
Art in Beauty Russian Volume Lashes, Hybrid, and Classic Lashes is in the Poole and Bournemouth area of Dorset. Even if you have very sparse lashes, Russian Volume can help create a fuller look. If you have any questions I'm really happy to have a chat.
